Welcome to the home of COVID CARE CONCERTS, Ireland’s largest live arts organisation.
COVID CARE CONCERTS…
…is a nationwide live arts project, which was established in May 2020 by Irish cellist Gerald Peregrine, director of the Mobile Music Machine. The project was created as a rapid response to the many challenges that arose from the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The innovative arts and health project has to date delivered over 1,000 live concerts to the grounds of residential care homes, hospitals, psychiatric/disability services, day care centres and direct provision centres.
The concerts have featured over 100 of Ireland’s finest artists across all genres. The project has visited 21 counties North and South of the border, performing to over 100,000 people to date.
Covid Care Concerts is the largest live arts and health response to the pandemic on a global level and is primary funded by Creative Ireland and The Dept of Arts, with support from Blackwater Valley Opera Festival.
Additional funding has generously been provided by Healthy Ireland (Age Friendly Ireland), The Lakeside fund, HSE National Lottery Fund and ReThink Ireland.
